Privacy Policy

Hyto is an iPhone app that reads data from Toyota and Lexus hybrid cars through an OBD adapter.

Data collected by the developer: none. Hyto has no accounts, servers, advertising or usage analytics and sends no data to the developer or third parties.

Data stored on the iPhone. The app stores locally, in its own container:

• trips and recorded telemetry (speed, consumption, HV battery state and temperatures, etc.);
• the GPS route of trips, only if you turn on route recording;
• the cars you add: profile, chosen name and the VIN read from the car;
• HV Check and diagnostic reports;
• app settings.

This data is included in your iPhone backups according to your iCloud/Finder settings.

Sharing. Data leaves the phone only when you export or share a file (CSV, JSON, PDF, backup) through the standard iOS share sheet. GPS routes are left out of exports unless you include them.

Purchases. Hyto Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. Hyto receives no payment details; StoreKit only tells the app whether you have an active plan.

Permissions. Bluetooth — connecting to the OBD adapter. Local network — Wi‑Fi OBD adapters. Location (optional) — trip route maps. Live Activities — values on the Lock Screen. All can be revoked in iOS Settings › Hyto.

Deletion. Delete individual trips, choose a retention policy, or uninstall the app to remove all data.

Children. The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about them.
